El Dr. Rene Perea es un médico especialista certificado como Cirujano General y cuenta con 36 años de experiencia. Egreso de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, Campus Matamoros e hizo su especialidad en Cirugía General en el Hospital de Especialidades del Centro Médico Nacional Siglo XXI del IMSS en la Ciudad de México; realizando parte de su entrenamiento en el servicio de Gastrocirugía y Colo-Proctología. Así mismo, es experto en enfermedades del aparato digestivo, cirugía colo-rectal y laparoscopia. El Dr. Perea cuenta con amplia experiencia institucional como cirujano en el ISSSTE y el Hospital General de Matamoros, “Dr. Alfredo Pumarejo Lafaurie” en donde es además de Cirujano, profesor adjunto al curso de postgrado en Cirugía General. Ha desarrollo un interés especial por realizar procedimientos laparoscópicos y proctológicos (recto y ano); por lo que ha puesto un mayor énfasis en procedimientos Láser para el tratamiento definitivo de hemorroides, fisuras y fistulas anorrectales, mediante técnicas innovadoras con Laser de Diodo (LHP, FiLac, etc.). Así mismo, es pionero en la región en cirugía laparoscópica de vesícula, biliar, apéndice y hernias. El Dr. Perea es miembro activo del Colegio Americano de Cirujanos (ACS) con sede en la Ciudad de Chicago, Illinois, USA. Es Asociado Titular de la Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía General. He graduated from the Medical School of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, and did his specialty in General Surgery at the Specialiy Hospital of the Century XXI National Medical Center in Mexico, City; doing part his training in the Gastro-Surgery and Colo-Proctology service- Dr. Perea is an expert in diseases of the digestive system, colo-rectal surgery and laparoscopy. Dr. Perea has extensive institutional experience as a surgeon at ISSSTE and the Matamoros General Hospital “Dr. Alfredo Pumarejo Lafaurie” where he is also a surgeon, and adjunct professor to the postgraduate course in General Surgery. Dr. Perea developed a special interest in performing laparoscopic and proctological procedures (rectum & anus); therefore, it has placed a greater emphasis on Laser procedures for the definitive treatment of hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas, using innovative techniques with Diode Laser (LHP, FiLac, etc.).
